°Final weight reached: When the final weight is reached: gradually change over to a suitable adult food.
Please note: The amount of food should be gradually increased until the amount recommended for the next age band is reached. As the dog approaches its final weight, the energy requirement drops off and the amount of food should be adjusted in line with the feeding guide.
General feeding notes:
- Weigh puppies regularly and document weight development.
- It may be necessary to adjust the amount of food for individual pets.
- Do not give too much to eat – make sure your dog grows at a moderate rate.
- If you give snacks, reduce the amount of food accordingly.
- Split the daily food ration between several meals (3-4).
- Fresh drinking water should be available at all times.
- Give the food at room temperature.
